GSRW Contract With California

Golden State Republican Women (GSRW) agree to a “Contract with California.” GSRW is dedicated to ensuring life is better for all citizens of California by adhering to Republican Party values of God, Country, Family, and Freedom.

Our goal is to improve the political and cultural climate in our state. We will strive to elect and then support a Republican Governor, as well as all other Republican statewide officials. We support our Nation’s Republican President and will work with the California GOP to elect Republicans up and down the ballot. We hereby commit to the following objectives.

Principles of Our Contract:

UNITED CONSERVATIVE VOICE .
As an Alliance of hardworking Republican women, we will use our voices as one when needed. Although Republicans are a minority in this state, our numbers are growing, and we reject defeatist attitudes and will not squander the growing support for Republican values in California. We matter, and we will fight for our beliefs.
EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY.
Our focus will be on continuous education to our members and the public.
INTEGRITY IN ELECTIONS.
We will strive to make our elections honest and fair. We will work to eliminate the following practices: ballot harvesting, extended voting and ballot counting periods, same day registration, voting without government-issued photo ID and lack of transparency in ballot processing. We will cooperate with other organizations that work for the same objectives.
CHALLENGING EVERY DEMOCRAT IN EVERY ELECTION.
We will work to ensure that every elective position, from local school board, city council and judge to all state and federal offices, has a Republican candidate on the ballot. We vow never to allow a Democrat to go unchallenged.
PROTECT THE RIGHTS AND STATUS OF WOMEN.
It is our sincere conviction that women and girls are entitled to female-only spaces and sports, privacy, safety, and equal employment opportunity. We support Title IX as originally intended — equal access and treatment for all individuals in education, regardless of sex (NOT gender).
INSIST ON GOVERNMENT REFORM TO REDUCE SPENDING AND OVER-REGULATION
In order to bring down the cost of living in California, we will lobby our government officials to minimize regulation, improve bargaining and reduce expenditures.
SENSIBLE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN.
Because our children should receive an education that meets their needs and those of society, we will pay close attention to what they are being taught and demand to be heard at administrative and school board meetings and in the classroom.
ACCESS TO ABUNDANT WATER AND ENERGY.
We will keep our members informed about technological advancements, policy reforms, and community engagement related to all sources of water and energy in our state. We will insist on improvements in water conservation, management and storage as well as fair distribution.
SUPPORT FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND MILITARY.
Our organization and affiliated clubs will support and honor our first responders, active-duty military and veterans.
VOTER REGISTRATION & ENGAGEMENT.
Our primary goal is to expand the Republican voter base though education and strategic voter registration efforts. We will fight to maintain and grow Republican turnout beyond the 2024 general election.
